If you have applied for a credit card or loan and you know for certain that your credit file is in good order will you appeal. ?
My story is that I applied for a barclaycard gold as it had 18 month 0% balance transfer rate which i could use.
They declined my application and i then obtained a copy of my credit report from equifax to show all my credit was upto date, sent them a copy and they now have accpted me.
It is not a huge limit but it shows there no harm in trying an appeal when you get initially turned down

Often it is worth it if you get an automatic refusal when you apply. By appealing you can at least be sure that a human underwriter will look at your application. If you are refused following a referral (in which case an underwriter has already looked at you) then it's maybe not so worth it.0

Sometimes your file being in order means you are not suitable for a product.
Also you would have been scored based on application data too. It's not just derived from your credit file. Things like credit to salary and available credit to used credit ratios need to also be factored in.0
