quick question re desktop icons

i want to align some to the far right hand side. normally i have them all on the left as normal and arrange icons by, if i move them manually they move back on reboot.

Your default setting for desktop icons may have been set to Auto Arrange. You can disable it by right clicking on mouse while cursor on desktop, click on arrange icons by....If Auto Arrange is ticked, uncheck it and try again.
