depends where you are."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.

That should help reduce your food bill!0 -
If it's in Chelsea, then YES
If it's in a Glasgow council estate, then NO
Who lets out mice infested houses?!?!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Mice are pretty difficult to get rid of. Put some poison down and they might disappear for six months, but they'll probably be back. Unless there's an obvious hole they're getting in through, you just have to keep killing the !!!!!!s. BTW, pest control is LLs responsibility.
At least it's not rats.0 -
Bet your lease says 'no pets' eh? If not then a cat is the best form of mouse control.
re: £450, inclusive/exclusive of bills etc? Which area? What are other similar properties going for?0 -
If it is above or near a row of shops that include fast food outlets then mice and rats can be expected as unfortunately councils have cut down on their pest controllers.
And the landlord cannot be at fault for what they cannot control.
BTW none of the rented accommodation I've ever lived in has been double glazed. In fact the only rented accommodation that I've found that was double glazed was either under a flight path or near a very busy main road.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

you obviously thought it was as you chose to rent the place.
surely when you viewed the property you noticed it did not have double glazing?
As for the mice, call your council pest control services. they will come round 3 and set out poison for a fixed fee. this cost can be passed on to your landlord, unless you have deliberatly been attracting the mice in.
as for whether the rent is too high, it depends where the house is, and if this includes bills, and if the £450 is per week or month, and what other houses in the area are going for.0 -
I think that's high for somewhere with a mouse problem.
Maybe you are paying more for their accomodation too?0 -
you're just boasting aren't you!
you're not staying in the magic kingdom are you and the mice you're talking about being Mickey, Minnie & their friends?
sounds like you've got yourself a bargain!0 -

I don't care what anyone says, I wouldn't pay £450 a month to rent any kind of hose:)"I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." — Confucius0
