Can you search for an apartment in Spain by closeness to airport.

I am looking at doing a DIY holiday.
I want to fly to an airport in Spain, and find an apartment, not hotel, that is near the airport, as I do not drive. There are many internet sites that allow you to search for apartments based on their facilities, but I have not found one that allows you to search for apartments within 20 kilometers of an airport, as I would need to get a taxi from the airport to the apartment.

Any ideas.

booking.com allow this. Take this example for Alicante. It lists hotels in order to closest to airport. You can change the order of results via box rh side above hotel list.
I think Active hotels do this too.

Once you find which hotels/apts are closest, use the info ie town etc and plug into hotelscomparison.com , travelsupermarket or even google to get it cheaper or increase your results.

To be honest, searching this way isnt really such a great idea. It may be closer, but the cost of renting could be greater. There may not be facilities within walking distance, so you may need to pay transport just to get to the local shop, beach etc.

Tell us which airport and someone will have suggestions for nearby resorts and maybe even aprox taxi costs

Malaga Airport;

You can fly into Malaga airport and get a train from just outside the station. It is a short walk over the footbridge. From here you can travel down to Fuengirola where along the way there are around 10 stops? You can find an apartment on the route and if private will be a good price.


For example, get the train down to Torreblanca which is on the outskirts of Fuengirola and from the station you are well within walking distance of my friends apartment! I will not post it on here or ever offer it as a private message because that is not want this board is about. However I know that it is very, very possible and from here you are within two minutes of the beach.

The train fair is around £1.10 each way so very cheap and regular like clockwork with no delays, no leafs on the track, no sheep or cows stuck on the track, no points frozen and no overcrowding!

Or you can take the train direct into Malaga but private apartments will not be as good or it also go inland so lots of choice.

Nearest main resort to Malaga I would have thought is Torremolinos. The centre and El Bajondillo beaches are very high rise and frantic but the old fishing village of La Carihuela has a bit more character yet it's right on the beach and has a pedestrian prom to the other beach and even down to the marina at Benalmadena.

which includes airport transfers though the town centre is on the railway mentioned above.

If you Google La Carihuela you'll get loads of apartment sites and some, like Playa Miguel and La Alegria, are right on the seafront - others are a little set back but often have the advantage of a pool.

Hi sorry to jump in I found some good prices for a flight to Valencia,not having much luck with hotels though need a pool and to be nearish to shops nightlife,can anybody advise please?
