Market research – share tipping service.

Dear All,

I’m conducting market research on behalf of a private individual who is thinking of setting up a new company. Over the last 2 years he’s created a model that predicts shares on the LSE (what to buy, when, how much, when to sell, where to set limits, etc) which achieves decent returns. We’re not talking about the outlandish bravado traditionally associated with these services promising instant riches. He is thinking of allowing access to his model via a subscription service. I’m conducting market research to gauge what interest there is. If you have five minutes, I’d appreciate your answers to the following questions. Thank you.

Question 1: How could a service such as this convince you that its results are ‘real’?

Question 2: If such a service offered money-back guarantees, would that give you increased confidence to try it?

Question 3: Have you tried any other share tipping services? What degrees of success have you had?

Question 4: How much would you be prepared to pay for such a service?

Question 5: Where would such a service advertise to attract your attention?

Sounds like an advertising scam to me - if it works so well why not just use it and make a lot of money? It should be on the referrers thread at least.
The usual answer is that the person is so generous that they don't want to keep it for themselves.....
