Costs for will
choppy
I understand this is how long is a bit of string question - however -
My wife & I need to make a will & the quote is £350 + vat (& A charge per second for so much as looking at their office over the next 10 years etc) for the basic interview & docs - Now i believe in doing it properly but I imagine we are straight forward - all to spouse - then kids + few minor points. Everyone says this sounds expensive - the firm have just merged & my original contact has a good reccommendation so there is an element of trust there.
any opinions gratefully received

we paid about £150 for our joint wills - it will however depend on a few things, where you are in the country and if there are any complications to the will - and possibly if it's an estate above the inheritance tax threshold. The only way to really know if it's competitive for your area is to phone a couple of others and get quotes from them. I'd say it's well worth it though even if you end up having to pay £350.0

We got our wills done last November through the Will Aid scheme (this is where participating firms waive their fee during the month and ask you instead to make a donation to charity). They recommended donating £100 for joint wills as this was what they would normally charge.

They will be running another campaign in November, if you are able to wait until then?3-6 Month Emergency Fund #14: £9000 / £10,0000
