incorrect address provided

Hi guys,
I sell quite a few items online and very rarely have a problem. I recently sold and item to some one and posted it off. I sent it on a signed for next day service to ensure it got there but sadly it hasn't!
It turns out that the customer has provided me with an incorrect address. I have sent the parcel to the address they gave me and it has been signed for by someone there. I've asked the customer if she can contact the people at the address she gave but she is refusing and demanding a refund.
What are my rights as the seller? Obviously I can't claim the money back from Royal Mail as they have delivered it within the required time frame and it isn't my fault!

Let them demand all they want, it is clearly there fault, just dont respond to them anymore.0

If, as you say, the item was delivered to the address as supplied by the buyer then the problem is theirs not yours. Do not give them a refund.0

If it is ebay/paypal make sure you keep hold of the proof of delivery and also evidence that it was delivered to the address that they gave you - then you can fight any chargeback request.0

Hi,
Cheers Guys.
Yes it was through ebay.0 -
Was the item sent to the Paypal registered address, that is the only one that really counts ?0
-
As above - if sent to the paypal address given - your covered.
No further contact required, block the buyer.0 -

In which case, check it was sent to the PAYPAL address, and NOT the Ebay address...
If you sent it to the Paypal address, then all is fine and you don't have to do anything else, as they buyer will lose any dispute.
If you sent it to the Ebay address, then uh oh - start grovelling! Paypal rules state that it has to be sent to the Paypal address to make sure you are covered, so if the buyer opens a dispute, then you will be forced to refund and will have to try and get the parcel back yourself.
Was it expensive?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
