I cannot believe mis-selling is still going on

Hi everyone first post so be gentle please.

I am getting regular calls from British gas claiming to save me money on my energy supply. When I explain I am on the best tarrif thanks to the new app this site uses ie npower energy online 2014. They go on about a energy monitor and how I can be saving loads against my current tarrif.

To be sure I just did a comparison on the energy help line site.

From the results if I go to BG I will be £173 worse off, they were really pushy trying to get my details and giving me 5 weeks to do my homework and cancel if I change my mind.

Surely ths is against all that has been said with the mis selling scandals going on recently ?

Why, we have unscrupulous companies for suppliers & a useless (to the consumer) regulatory system, so what else would you expect?

Its against OFGEM regulation to sell on the 'cool off'.

Always input your figures into their website.
