PPI mis-sold query

Hi all
Sorry if this is a bit of a daft question, but I have had a few loans over the last 15 years, which included PPI. However, I was aware that the PPI was to be included in the repayments, but what I wasn't aware of at the time was that there were other options that would cover my loan repayments (and more) should I fall into difficulty - i.e. income protection insurance. I therefore want to know if this counts as mis-selling as I don't want to go down the reclaiming route if it doesn't (as I was aware of what I was paying)?
Many thanks in advance.

No. That particular point is not grounds for complaint. The lender is only required to let you know about their option. Not others that are available on the market place.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
