They are obliged to cancel them, whether they like it or not, or say they can or not. If they allow them to go through after you have given enough notice then they must refund or reverse the payments.
^ Should do this in writing, send by recorded delivery and retain the receipt so you have proof that you've told them. What will your verse be?

I have had exactly the same problem with payday loan companies who voted in favour of the IVA and then sold the debt on to another company. I've just forwarded any communication to the IP and told them to check the insolvency register as they frequently say that if I cannot give them my IVA reference they will keep on at me for payment. They don't understand either that it would breach my IVA if i entered into a payment arrangement with themAll of my views are my own

You have to withdraw consent a working day or something like that before the payment si due. So don't delay. Do it by phone if too late for post.Still rolling rolling rolling......

its sorted as payplan spoke to them, they tried to say it was a generic email, but the responses i had say other wise, but they havent taken the cash.
as an aside Nationwide are full of rubbish, i messaged them via the secure message quoting the above recs.they responded saying what i was told originally was correct they cannot stop visa payments and ended witha stroppy "the fsa is aware of how we work and we fully comply with their regulations"0
