Halifax Easy Cash

Hi

Just wanted to ask if any one has an Easy Cash Account or knowledge of them? I had problems opening a Bank account a long time ago due to various factors. I had signed up for an Easy Cash account but basically didn't have the I.D. to provide so didn't bother. Then I started receiving letters from Halifax with my account number etc on it and login details for their website. I pretty much ignored that too as I was having money paid into a relatives account instead at this point. Halifax still send me letters now with a summary of my account so I decided to sign into it and check everything was still working. I also transferred a little £10 over from a different account to make sure that worked fine too.

But basically I have seen talk about the account for other people not becoming active until you deposit money into it which for me would be recently. I was also never sent out any Debit card when I had registered for this which was a very long time ago. I've also recently withdrew a bit of cash from an online betting account which should of gone into mine but hasn't appeared in the time it says it takes.

Will I be sent out a debit card now at some point since depositing into the EC account or do I need to ring up and ask for one?

Regards

Best to ask Halifax surely? They can tell you the exact status of your account which nobody on here will know.

I did speak to Halifax on Twitter who gave me the number to ring. Asks me to type in my account details etc, then asks me for the last 3 Digits of my Debit Card LOL.... No help to me if I haven't got one!

Thanks for the reply though PMDUK. I will figure it out. I was just wondering if any one had knowledge of when they received their debit cards, whether it was straight away or after they deposited cash into the account.

hi i used to have a Halifax easy cash account and i received the debit card 10 days after i opened the account and the pin number about 3 days after that .hope that helps but i would give Halifax a ring or pop in to your local branch with some id and they will be able to tell you what's going on with it :)

Hi thanks for replying. I spoke to them on the phone now. They said I just need to go into a Branch and show some ID in order for them to sort out a Debit Card. Any Ideas how long I will be in there for that?

I should imagine it depends on the queue in the branch, how many advisors they have working when you decide to go in and deal with it. Who can guess!!!

lol I mean the actual process of showing them the I.D. once being served. Sorry for the questions. I suffer with an anxiety disorder so I'm always trying to know things before I walk into them.

I guess once you get to an advisor and they have all the details you need then it should take them about 5 to 10 minutes to sort out.
