Help-Current Account without hidden charges

Hello!
I want to open a new current account, but since I am new in UK, I do not know which bank/building society to trust / not to trust. I have been looking around at various current accounts and financial websites.....but am thoroughly confused. So I thought its better to ask you guys who know in-and-out of the banking tricks and charges.
Can you please help in identifying a Current Account tht meets following conditions?:
1) Free cheque book facility
2) Multiple monthly withdrawals - both cash and direct debit -> without any charge
3) Internet usage
4) Max deposit tht I can contribute per month is GBP 1000
5) No fee on account closure
6) Debit card tht I can use at tht bank's machines and LINK machines -> Free of charge.
7) I do not require overdraft facility.
Rate of interest is not so much of a concern if the above criteria are met.
Thanks!
Ashu
