Debt depression and dependancy

Options
Where to start!!Will try to make this coherent and concise.
Been married for 24 years with 3 grown up kids. Marriage has been less than perfect with violence and mental abuse throughout. Husband is very controlling where money is concerned, he used to give me £20 a week for myself and the kids. Don't get me wrong i have always worked so I had my own money but he makes sure most of it goes on household bills and food shopping. Over the last ten years I have managed to accumulate £20,000 of debt. I was managing to pay this off without any missed payments until last year, when I realised I couldn't carry on. Started on a dmp went well for 10 months or so until I missed a couple of payments so therefore no longer on it. My own fault I know but I am thinking bankruptcy might be a better option.
I also have a dependancy / addiction to over the counter pain killers. The reason for the post I am fed up living in fear, being shouted at put down all the time, what do other posters advise. Feel fre to question me as I feel I have not been all to give all details in the post. I have also been in a woman's refuge recently and the police have a marker on the house should I call. I am also on antidepressants have been for 18 months.
Thanks for reading.

First contact your nearest pain management clinic..They have some amazing doctors who do a step down program which works and works well..
It will be done in your own time with psychiatric help if needed.
Care to tell which and dosage?
    Good luck

And if your real name is what you have used as a username i would change it
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Thanks both for replying, will certainly look at dfw board again . As far as dosage and type it's solpadiene and the dosage is variable from 12 to 20 daily less when I am working as there is no threat or fear in work.

You can't change your username. You could ask for this thread to be deleted, then start another account, and post the same thing.
