I have never booked a Hotwire secret hotel but I have done so with LastMinute and HolidayExtras. Trying to guess which hotel it is and the chance of getting a "lemon" is part of the risk/reward game of booking a secret hotel. Occasionally I have been slightly disappointed with the name of the hotel when it popped up (was hoping for a different one) but most of the time I have been very satisfied and have had a few excellent bargains and discovered a few excellent hotels that I might not have otherwise chosen.
