Bad choice/bad decision; it's moot in these circumstances.

Bad decision based on being mis informed and not taking into account my personal circumstances surely????

You are attempting to allege that the insurance was mis-sold to you, but everything you've said only indicates that it wasn't.

Why wouldn't it be mis sold if I had up to sick months sick pay through work?

Go to the MSE advice article and look for valid complaint reasons which may apply to you:

Yes- thanks - will read this!

Because PPI doesn't cover you just for sickness...

But accident would have been covered by sick pay, - death - at the age of 23 on a five year loan? Right- yes that could have happened! - and I'm just going to look up involuntary unemployment now ...

Involuntary unemployment - I'm on a permanent contract and in our authority they do look to keep you in employment rather than making us unemployed.

So, your employment is not in any way guaranteed then?

Don't answer here, just read the link I provided earlier and try to construct a robust complaint from that.

Read the link and will construct a robust complaint from that but posted on here to get advice, help, knowledge and to hear about anyone else who has had a similar experience. That is what the forums are for- just remember that!!! You can point me in whatever direction- I want to comments related to my post based on the very little info I have- others are in the same boat!!!

When you complain the Bank will either uphold or decline. Doesn't seem to be anything more to say here other than a "permanent contact" as a teacher is no absolute guarantee of employment.
