Where is this sunny bank holiday?

I've had to put the heating on, the temperature is the lounge was 15 deg C and my wife was moaning about the cold and I had just turned the pilot light off yesterday.
Getting forgetful, if you think I've asked this before I probably have. :rotfl:

I got back from Florida on Saturday morning where we basked in sunshine with highs of 34C over the fortnight. It was 5C when we touched down at Gatwick! Thought the plane had gone too far North, but alas, no. Got home to Sunny Weston-super-Mare and my living room was at just 13C, had the heating on ever since. Shocking for the time of year!

Just updated my readings on EDF, and my owed balance has just jumped to £400. My direct debit had already risen from £95 (based on previous years usage) to £120 per month at the start of April because of the extended winter. Now that spring doesn't want to finish I can certainly envisage the newly calculated price to jump to say £140 or £150 per month. A lot of people will be struggling because of this cold weather, and sadly a lot will be living in blissful ignorance of it until a meter reader calls round and really shocking bill hits them.

Same here...got back a week ago from Dom Rep and have had the heating on virtually every day since. Reckon that the extra cold "Spring",a boiler breakdown (and replacement!!) and now this latest cold snap, have cost me ~ £180 extra for utilities compared with the previous year!
    Roll on "Summer" :(
