LPG/Petrol road fund charges

I have a petrol car converted to LPG by an authorised dealer 2 years ago, have notified DVLA and the registration document now says duel fuel yet I still pay the full fee as if it were petrol emissions.
DVLA say they charge according to the emissions registered when the vehicle was first made but my argument is that the emissions now are very green, very low (and I can proove it), and on a par with a vauxhall that is manufactured as duel fuel, so why shouldn't it all be the same.

Does any one out there feel the same as I do, my local MP prooved to be no help at all

Its one of things that would potentially lead to mass confusion if they had to start changing emmissions figures on log books etc. hence the road tax will always be based on the emissions for when the car came out of the factory.

Your best bet is to just be happy that you're saving loads on the fuel costs compared to petrol drivers!!
