The one I made this morning was from a ready-mix packet where you just add water. I found it in the back of my cupboard and it was slightly out of date, but the bread is lovely. Like a seeded wholemeal type. Eating a slice right now with peanut butter and jam on :D

You've got to make sure you put the ingredients into the machine in the correct order according to the recipe, and the water must be luke warm or else the yeast doesnt activate,

I've only ever had one loaf that didnt turn out right, and I think the water I used was slightly too hot

I know exactly what you mean by this, but I still pictured a house LITERALLY upside down (standing on it's chimney lol), and it made me chuckle! :D

Boyfs father built it himself and as the views over the Cotswolds are out the back (and it's on a hill) the living floor is upstairs (as is his bedroom). So from the front it looks like a bunglow, then down the spiral stairs into garden room with a study and three more bedrooms off it. The garden room has big french doors which lead straight out onto the patio. Beautiful! :)

Thanks Mrs PAP. WIth your fruit picking activities would it be wide of the mark to compare you to flower, i.e. one that grows wild in the woods?:D
