there are about 12,000 at our surgery and I always have to wait about 3 years for an appointment coz there are only 2 I will see - I think the rest of them paid for thier Dr status :eek:

Those bl00dy out of hours ones are the worst!!! NO WAY on this planet are they REAL Dr's :rotfl:

:rotfl: 12,000 :eek: nah there is one i will see but thats all... the rest are numptys :rotfl: well imo anyways :rotfl: some are great though and do a very very good job, they are worth there weight in gold

I hate out of hours doctors too - I've only ever had to call them twice, both times they were horrible, one told me to stop being stubborn and give up breastfeeding so he could prescribe pain relief for me (had joint problems after having DS, and the pain was just unbearable), the other one was when DS had mumps and tonsilitis at the same time, he refused to come out and see him, and when I told him DS was in agony every time I moved him or touched his neck, he asked me to put the phone next to him and move him about, so he could hear how much pain he was in! :eek:

NO WAY Snaggles - that horrendous!!!

I told 4 OOH Dr's that I thought little legs had appendictis (sp) - every one diagnosed constipation and thought I was a loon.

The pain if little legs has appendicitis will be displaced and it will be hard to spot coz her's isnt where it *should* be - NOT A ONE listened to me!!

Even when she was admitted to hospital they contiued down the constipation and gave her suppositries :mad: :mad:

It wasnt until a week later I got a call to say they had relooked at her x-rays and the were worried about her appendix - apparently its unusal for them to *just* grumble in kids (if its unusual my little legs will get/have it )

I actually said to the Dr - *I'll bet you wish I said that to 5+ of you a week ago* :mad: :mad:

I have many of them to thank PAP for various reasons - I only wish they were all like those!!

Oh the poor little thing, some doctors are just crap aren't they - I know they are overworked etc, but really, if you're in a 'caring' profession, it does help if you actually care.
