Samsung LCD TV brightness problem

Hi guys

Got a Samsung LE26R7 LCD TV, and the brightness level keeps re-setting itself every 20 minutes or so.

Having reset the brightness level, the TV works fine for 20 minutes or so, the screen then suddenly goes black for a few seconds, and the picture returns with the brightness back down to its default setting.

I'm assuming using the 'enter' and 'menu' buttons would 'lock' my selection, as there does not appear to be such a function.

Gone through the manual, and not able to find a solution, so any ideas folks ???

Is there some kind of auto brightness/auto dimming, or eco or some such setting that would be 'helpfully' changing the brightness without being asked?
If not it sounds like you're either sitting on the remote or there's something wrong with the TV...
