POPLA appeal help

In January I received a Parking Eye PCN for £80. I had a read on this forum and exchanged letters back and forth with them. In the end I just ignored them and hadn't heard anything for about 7 weeks until today! I've now had a letter stating that I didn't give any further evidence to them and I now have a POPLA appeal form with a verification code on it. I thought they had just got fed up of me ignoring them but they haven't. The letters are going addressed to a family member who's name the car is in but I was driving at the time. They have not been given any details of who was driving but only who the owner is. I stayed in the car park for around 2 hours whilst in a snooker centre. The snooker centre has a machine which you input your car REG. into. I'm adamant that I did this. I've not mentioned anything of this to Parking Eye though. Do I ignore the correspondence as I don't think I have a leg to stand on with the appeal? Thanks and sorry about the poor wording of this post

How about reading this forum for a bit before posing your question? At least you started your own thread rather than tagging it on somebody else's. I'll help you out by pointing you to this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/46210930

Well wouldn't the first thing in any popla appeal be for the correct person to be appealing ? So IMO you should write to them to say who was actually driving the vehicle at the time. Unless someone here thinks differentlyWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Anyone can appeal to POPLA. It says so on their website.
http://www.popla.org.uk/makinganappeal.htmAnyone can appeal such a parking charge notice providing they follow the process below. If you want someone to appeal on your behalf, such as a family member or friend, they can do so but there can only be one appeal for any one parking charge notice.
It is tactically a very bad idea to confirm who was driving the car at the time of a the parking event as when the PPC does not know the name & address of the driver they can only pursue the registered keeper by strictly adhering to the terms of POFA 2102 which all PPCs seem to fail at. In this case it's the RK appealing without confirming/denying who the driver was.0 -
Really sorry for my ignorance
just the registered keeper is ill at the moment and these letters are not helping at all. I feel guilty for the stress I've placed on them. I've read through the forum and am still unsure what grounds for appeal. I will be dealing with the correspondence on behalf of the keeper. 0 -

More the reason to nominate yourself as the driver then. I think that if this goes to popla and loses ( which is not likely) that a claim could be made in the RK name. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

I can't agree with that because of the further information providedWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Please read the linked thread, exactly the same situation as you!
Bargepole has set out a basis of points for a draft POPLA appeal and I just added some more points to that as well on the same thread. Not sure what else you need except to put it all together, tweak it at the start to suit your own circumstances and show us the draft first to be sure you've missed nothing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
