Is Cash King at the Moment?
Comments
-
Cash is not king and hasnt been for a while.
The best thing to do wish cash is spend it as quickly as possible and that which is not spent should be invested as wisely as possible.
Cash is king only when you go shopping with it. The UK has the most fiercely competitive retail environment in the world outside the US. look on your high street how they fight for your custom !Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
No, cash is not king a the moment because of the pathetic rates you get on it.
But the instant the stock market has a substantial fall many people will be slapping themselves for not selling their shares/funds the day before and then with the benefit of hindsight cash will have been king all along.

As I said in post #21
If hard times fall and you have to raise cash for whatever, no matter what you`re selling you won`t get it`s true worth and also it takes time to sell.
The older you are the more cash you should have.
I remember a program about the 2007 crash in America where plenty of people were on hard times.
They all had things to sell, cars, houses, boats, etc,. but nobody wanted them even at half price.
People with cash always have the upper hand.0
