Washing machine floods kitchen

Hi all,
I hadn't used the washing machine for some months (been doing washing at my partners house) but when I did put the washing machine on it flooded the kitchen. It worked fine before!
I think it is something to do with the pipe that the out going waste water is going into. I have tried putting sink unblocked stuff in it but still when I try the washing the water comes flooding out. the pipe seems to just go underground it does go out through the wall into a grate/drain.
This had previously worked fine for years! Any suggestions on how I can get this sorted out so I can use the washing machine again ?

To state the obvious, you need to unblock the waste pipe. To do that properly you need to access it and clear it with a mechanical device like a drain snake-not just tip chemicals into it.
It's most likely blocked at the trap.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
We used to have a machine like this, there was a filter at the front of the machine behind a flap, unscrew that (when it's empty) and it will be full of gunge. Hair, old tissue, all sorts.
If you unscrew it when it's full you'll get another flood0 -
You need to ascertain if the blockage is in the standpipe, or the flexible hose from the washing machine to the standpipe, or a blocked filter within the machine.
Pull the machine out from underneath the work surface to see if their is a kink in the flexible pipe. If not remove this from the standpipe ,( place flexible pipe in bucket pro tem) pour a pint of water into standpipe, does this drain away? Just a question of trying each part in turn, till you identify where the blockage is.0 -

I will look into this.
Update: we don't seem to have one of these on front of the W/M"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -
It is the waste it only comes out when the washing machine is spinning and emptying.
So you need to run the washing machine withit pulled out from under the worktop. If it comed from the waste pipe (not the flexible hose attached to the washing machine), then you need to unblock that pipe manually.
There is probably a U bend that can be dismantled. Take this apart to check for blockages. Then let us know how you get on.0 -

I don't believe it is the flexible pipe as at one point we were emptying it via the flex pipe straight into a bucket so it didn't go all over the floor.
I feel it is the pipe that goes into the floor where the problem lies."The time is always right to do what is right"0 -

Ah ok a drain snake.... I don't have one of them. So will have to look into this. Do you recommend a certain one ?"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -
