Boiler callout

recently my boiler broke down, I had four plumbers com out and have a look at it. the first one said do not use its a death trap and gave me a warning slip and left. The next one didn't turn up then I called another company recommended by my dear neighbour. They gave me the spiel about our engineer were waiting for a customer who hadn't turned up and could come and see me, they didn't mention any callout cahrge and forgot to ask. They came and had a look and said we needed to replace the boiler and left saying that we couldn't give a quote until next week. I had an invoice through the post for 50 pounds for callout. what shall I do?

Still freezing with two kids and no hot water and a big bill for not getting any wiser. :money:

you asked him to come out and look at it.He must have done something to come to the conclusion that it is beyond repair.
Do you work for nothing?
Why should he?
You could ask him to quote you for fitting a replacement boiler.Agree to let him do it if he knocks 50 quid off his quote.

Wait while you get the bill for a new condensing boiler :eek:

You be looking at around £1800 in manchester.(based on fitting a top of range boiler)
