Iphone camera problem

My Iphone 4 has a delay when taking a photo. It takes a little more than 1 second from pressing the icon to actually taking the snap. Doesn't sound much, I know, but it is really, especially when taking snaps of children. By the time the photo takes, the child has moved. Any suggestions? I don't have loads of photo's or apps so the memory isn't full.

All digital cameras have this problem to varying degrees, phones are not dedicated cameras, so have to load up the software, enable the hardware, focus, take the photo. Some phones are better at it, some worse.0

Learn to live with it. Took my OH a lot of blurred photos (particularly of the scene next to the intended target
) until she accepted that you have to fire the camera and then wait for it to take the shot.
Phone cameras do not react like dedicated digital cameras, although many of those have the same issue.
