Which lawnmower for large garden?

Hi
Can anyone recommend which lawnmower would be best for a large area of grass? I would ideally like a sit-on one but they are very expensive. I would need one with a large grass box. Thanks in advance.

    A second hand sit on.

We used various electric and petrol mowers and getting a second hand sit on has made life so much easier. What was almost a day of lawn cutting a week is now a quick and manageable job.

Try a repair man. Our repair man sells new and second hand ones.

Ours is a John Deere. Mechanically is great but its a little fussy. Manny, many years ago as a kid my parents had a Westwood. It was less fancy than this one, one much simpler. I really have no knowledge to base choice on other than having used these two.

Fwiw you will probably still want a petrol push mower for edges or grass paths. We are not that worried so we just do edges with a strummer a couple of times a year. :o

Quite a few on ebay such as
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/lawnflite-604-ride-on-mower-/230987126874?pt=UK_Garden_Lawnmowers&hash=item35c7e7d85a

Seems like £6-700 for something that you'd feel comfortable with.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
