Android tablet - trying to redeem google play voucher

Just received the new Aniol tablet
Have set up a gmail account
Now trying to redeem google play voucher of £25
I've clicked redeem and its all in American dollars $ not sterling £.
It wants a zip code
I only have a uk postcode. It doesn't like a uk post code.
It won't let me go any further
Any ideas on how to get over this as otherwise I can't buy any apps and I've wasted £25

All sorted by myself lol.
When you click redeem it defaults to United States
Click on United States and it gives you other options
I chose uk and it was all self explanatory then
Thought I'd post in case it helps anyone else0
