I know this is a little OT - but what happens if you try to use a coupon when you have not brought the product? Does the till refuse it. I've never tried.. same with out of date brand matches - are they rejected?

I have no idea about BM as I don't use often and have binned some that have gone out of date before Coupons shouldn't scan if you've not bought the product but there have been anomalies where they do.

On the whole this sort of discussion can get a bit heated on here because everyone has different lines and views on what's right and wrong. Thats not me saying don't discuss it. Thats me saying from experience, it's a subject best avoided

Ahh ok Its just I binned 2 OOD BM's (Not for a big value) because I forgot I had put them in my little purse, hubby said I should have tried them. l have to remember to keep them to hand in future. xx
