Hope everyone is OK today. Just back from a 2 hour stint at the gym with lots of interval running. Hopefully I will be back to my slim self. This "generous" look is not really me! Any tips other than not eating would be gratefully received.
Also, any computer whizzes around? I need a new laptop but I don't understand a thing about them. The one I currently have was an impulse purchase and is about to die a death. It's a Sony Vaio and it cost me about £500. I just thought it looked good and I bought it!
I have about £500 face value Tesco clubcard points though I don't think they are doing computers with the double up vouchers are they? I also have about £400 worth of Consumer Pulse vouchers which can be redeemed at Curry's, House Of Fraser/Debenhams/John Lewis (do they do laptops?) and various other places.
I'm looking for something cheap (happy to pay more) but something that will last me a while. Any help? Feel free to pm me. Cheers in advance.0 -
Just got this email from Tesco home panels. If anyone is interested let me know and I will let Tesco home panels know.

Hey everyone. I don't think it went very well at all. Back home now and have cried a fair bit.
The woman who interviewed me kept talking over me and I felt like her and her colleague weren't listening to a word I was saying and weren't very impressed. I was very nervous but tried my best
Just waiting for the rejection email/call tbh. Thanks for all the well wishes anyway.
As awful as you feel now you have to get straight back on the horse and start doing your applications again straight away.
Youngest son had an interview rejection and it felt like a slap in the face, the reasons they gave were very spurious. But he went back on the jobs website and kept applying, eventually got another interview and ended getting a job about a hundred times more suitable for him - afterwards he was shortlisted for a couple of others so he was turning jobs down in the end.
You feel physically sick at the time but sometimes rejections happen for a reason“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

When it came to the final price they said the credit card fee was 2% of total. I said "no I will leave it then". He went away to speak to his manager....result no fee!!!:D[/
Hotels have to pay a fee to laterooms so in theory if you ring them up and ask for a best price and then say can you match the laterooms price they should - that's what one hotel told us to do anyway.
It really annoys me this surcharge on credit card payments“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I don't know when I'm going to hear back.
It's true that I didn't feel very comfortable at the company so maybe it wasn't meant to be. People in TV tend to fall into a certain 'type'. Usually upper middle class, white, often quite loud and self aggrandising. It did definitely feel like that kind of a place. Not as diverse/welcoming as other places I've worked.
But in so many respects I'd be perfect for it. I'm just not the best at selling myself to people who don't know me. The only thing that could go in my favour is I was recommended by one of the directors, my references will be excellent and I left them with samples of my work which hopefully they will see is good.Debt free 6th December 2014

Have you tried the Fast Diet? It's really easy. You just limit your calorie intake to 500 calories for women / 600 for men on two non-consecutive days a week. Loads of us doing it at work and we all seem to be losing a pound each day we do it - so two pounds a week. You can eat and drink what you like on the other 5 days of the week too, which means you don't feel like you're watching every single calorie every day!
I'm sure you can download it for free IYSWIM.0
