DD1 went for a job on Monday and was offered it on the spot, 6k more than she gets now. Handed in her notice next morning and current boss offered to match it, and throw in a no bills flat so she will have no travelling expenses (currently she's back at mine cos of debt). So negotiations ongoing but looks good.
DD2's job is at risk, 6 people going for 4 jobs, they were told Wednesday, her partner has only just got a job after losing job at christmas so this is a blow. She's remaining hopeful tho.
Today, OH got an invite to see his new boss. Thought it was to do with the info she'd asked him for this morning and he'd sent over..... to be given a "your job is at risk" letter. 2 posts going, his and another, and roles being amalgamated. Letter stated there are two people in the pool of candidates and you are the 2nd choice :eek::eek: Way to make someone feel valued!! he has a meeting next Wednesday. We spent half an hour going through the new job description, and its 12 points his job, and 3 the other persons! But other person came with the new boss to the firm .....
So i've got a feeling this weekend is not going to be all singing and laughing... (OH is 54 and has been made redundant 4 times before... he loves this job and is devastated after 7 years there).
Sorry to rant. All in all, i've not been to a shop all week except for milk, not had time.
So sorry to hear this. What a difficult weekend it might be for you:o

Oops sorry
A big congratulations to fairclaires DS1
It makes a great difference when kids start to drive. So useful to when it comes to collecting the younger ones, just don't give your car up too easily I remember how thrilled you were when your oh supprised you with it after you thought your something silver was a fridge freezer.
Saying that all 3 of my children had their lessons paid for, dd1 had my corsa when she passed and ds1 and 2 had £500 towards their insurance (not that that would go far nowadays.

TS, you had an ex called stumpy? How unfortunate is that for a nickname for a bloke, poor man!
Well done FC's lad! Perhaps he could start to offer a courier service across the county taking my laundry to you?
Last I will say on the matter.
Part of my past I had almost forgotten until Dotty reminded me.
The relationship didn't last long, a very big mistake.0
