    Oooh lovely banana bread. :)
When I make it I sometimes chuck in a handful of chocolate chunks/bits. It makes it amazing. ;) Especially if you scoff it whilst still warm. The choc is all gooey and yummy :D

Ohhh thanks, I have some chic chips too. May have to make another one later!

The justice system has to be balanced, if it wasn't then whole life sentences like the one handed down today would be almost impossible. A succesful trial needs prosecution and defence equally. The defence barrister knew he was guilty and that's why he conceded early on that his client had caused her death. There is a well known, if a little old article that maybe explains the other side of the coin.

I fully support that everyone needs legal advice/defence whatever the crime but the defence was ludicrus, surely the lawyer should have told him to plead guilty or put on a better defence than I can't remember. I can't think of anything worse he could have put forward as a defence, it means he will get a more severe punishment. I am not saying he shouldn't get the most severe punishment anyway but the defence is supposed to help him I think the defence failed him sorely.

I hope it doesn't sound like I am defending him, I think we should bring back the death penalty for these sort of crimes but I cannot stand the thought that incompetent lawyers thought this was an acceptable defence and got paid for it. They should be prosecuted themselves.

    That's what they said

I can think of a few people who won't be too happy about that, and I feel bad, but I'm not jeopardising the healing process to keep them happy. For once, I have to look after myself
