I've just seen an advert on TV for half price wine at M's- could be good APG in it, if the brainboxes can work it outI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Morning, all!
:o
Joking aside I went to bed at 3am - DS2 was in my spot so I got the sofa. Then DD3 wakes me up at 5.45am OMG! Just done 200 miles to Grantham and back to send them to their dad's. Taking dog to town to get his dew claws done then off to Blockbuster for the free movie.[...] Will only be in local papers though so not quite celebrity status yet! lol[...]
Hope you all have a great day! x
:rotfl::rotfl: Well done on your win, btw!
Right, more catch up then out with OH. Pulled pork (8 hour slow cook) for tea tonight. Whole house smells lovely!:D
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

The justice system has to be balanced, if it wasn't then whole life sentences like the one handed down today would be almost impossible. A succesful trial needs prosecution and defence equally. The defence barrister knew he was guilty and that's why he conceded early on that his client had caused her death. There is a well known, if a little old article that maybe explains the other side of the coin.

Having sat on a jury for a 7 week trial about 10 years ago I learnt an awful lot about the British judicial system, the good points, the bad points, the bargaining, the official cover ups blah blah.
Remember that In any trial the defendant does NOT have to prove his/her innocence. It's up to the prosecution to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
If anyone ever gets the chance to serve on a jury I'd jump at it. I look forward to the day I'm called again, hopefully.0 -

Unfortunately this is the way "justice" works....these barristers then go on to become Judges!!"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin
