PC 'Infected' with QV06

Good Morning
I've turned on the PC this morning to find a page called QV06 coming up every time I click on an icon. I've seen it called hijacker and it has hijacked Chrome.
Reading around I can see that this is something that installs itself with other programmes and it may be that my kids downloaded something last night that it came in with. I would uninstall it but can't identify it in the programme list.
I would be very grateful if someone could advise me how to get rid of this. I'm worried about browsing the net and ending up downloading even more dodgy programmes!
