Do these slow down?

I recently had fibre optic (medium) installed, aside from from that, I have noticed of late that on initial start-up, it is slow to load pages.

I have:-

Evernote, Pocket, Do-not-track-me, Adblock Plus, Better pop up blocker and Hover Zoom

Does anyone feel either of these might contribute to the slowing down?

You need to look at exactly what is loading when you start the PC. For instance there are hidden programs to "help" speed up printing and Office applications.

Download Ccleaner and look on the Tools page and then select Startup.

Use Google to check anything you are unsure of. Disable anything rather than deleting it initially.

Is this an easy procedure to follow through, as I am always apprehensive of doing anything like this in case I either get stuck and make a mistake en-route. Currently we have house guests, but when they have gone and it's quiet, I may well do as you suggest.

Thanks, you know that in all the years I've been surfing, I can't recall one instance when I have ever read stickies on any forum. Just goes to show you.
