Hi everyone.
I wonder if you good people can help.
My dad is an aged man. (79).....buys things and then never uses them......smiles. Has two computers.......cant really use them properly either.....smiles. I think he is a gadget freak. I call it spending my inheritance.....lolol.
I think I have inherited that same gene...wanting to learn new things and have a fascination for new gadgets.
But 6 months ago he bought a brand new Canon MP450.....turns out he only had it out of the box ONCE to LOOK AT ITand has lost the manuel!
I feel like ringing up PC World because they can sell him almost anything and they know fine well he isnt computer savy!
I feel that when he walks into their store they can "see the £££s" and say "this is our lucky day". This angers me alot.
Sold my dad a navigation system 5 months ago and he has no idea how to use it. Says its too complicated.......he didnt need to buy it in the first place!.
However my dad has decided he wants to use the printer now but has no manuel! Thinks he threw it out by mistake in the bin!...smiles
The Pixma MP450 looks more complicated to what I use myself.
He would be best with the manuel as he can refer to it himself without ringing me every day.
I have searched the net and can only find a TWO page brochure but nothing like a proper manuel.
Can anyone help or advise?
Kind regards
Clare

Why not phone Canon direct and ask them to send you a replacement manual?
There may be a cost but at least you will get the information you need?0 -

I've had a quick look and Canon seem to be a bit miserable and make you buy them!
Have a look here:

Just a thought, quite often you get a full (even more comprehensive) manual on the installation disk supplied with the printer.
Have you had a look there?0 -
Try this link - look at the downloads available roundabout item 27.

Hi Don
Now you have me worried. He hasnt mentioned anything about installation disks! Dont tell me they are gone too!...
I will have to go and look at this printer.
He rang me this morning and said there are not ink cartridges in the printer!
Asked me does it need to have ink cartridges......?
I rest my case.... smiles.
If all else fails I will ring Canon.
Thanks everyone for your help.
Kind regards
