    Hello all.

Hope everyone is having a good day, and that you are doing things you enjoy or getting some much needed rest.

Nice sunny day here. One of our tasks this year is to repaint our fences. As it was such a nice day, DH decided to make an early start on it. We are using that wood stain stuff with a spray.

We hadn't used the spray for a few years since the last time we did the fence, and the bloomin' thing must have been clogged up, as all that came out was a drizzle and not a spray. So we had to completely dismantle it and flush it with water. However, that seems to have worked as DH is now happily spraying away!

Hester, DH is 61 as well, and he's already saying his back is going to be killing him tomorrow!

I have some washing out on the line (hope he doesn't spray that!) and will iron it later. I listed a load of stuff on eBay yesterday and will probably do a bit more today and tomorrow. Sales have been good, have already packed a load of parcels.

We're having chicken with bacon and mushrooms for lunch, which I always like.

    Bye for now

donnay-gal.....sorry just read yr Q about my diet from yesterdays thread.

l don't know how much weght lv lost in a mth as l don't believe in weighing myself..but lm now in size 10 clothes from size 14,lm only 4ft ll so size 10 is my ideal size.

l started first on a 5 day strict diet from the Daily Mall.no alco,no bread,no dairy and no tea, sugar and no fruit. For 5 days l could drink as much water & herb tea as wanted.high protein meat & fish and loads of veg. Those 5 days my tummy started to go flat. You Can only follow that diet no more than 5 days as so strict. The idea s to get rid of yeast in body that causes bloating and as no fat/sugar being eaten for 5 days to burn up excess fat stored n body....it worked
After 5 days l went on my own diet plan & now eat as much as l want of any fruit and veg/salads during the day,(no meat or junk food) raw f possible or veg soups or veg as str frys & herb teas
.At nght l eat a healthy cooked low fat meal and ONLY l treat a day, ether a glass of wine or cocktail or l piece of low fat hm cake, or l bag of low fat crisps or l small choc bar.Only allow yr self one of those only per day.
l follow a 30 min of sitdown tummy exercises off You Tube everyday(and pay myself as a incentive).
To stop myself rading the frdge at night as l used to, l keep a pack of sugar free gum by my tv table. All the above has helped my go down 2 dress szes in 4 weeks. As its not a fasting diet l haven't lost too much weght, its just turning the fat into muscle and lm looking toned not saggy which wll happen if u don't eat or exercise. So don't go by what yr weght is, go by how yr looking and eat healthy, don't starve yr self by not eatng anything or you wll just make yr self look ill and saggy. x

edt....forgot to mention, you may get a bad headache during the 5 day diet as you are detoxing...l did...its normal but can be bad if u normally eat a high junk food diet...it goes after 24 hr or so.

    Afternoon Halight and all,

Slept well last night thankfully, i dont sleep so well when hubby is at home but i went out like a light. He was up and out at 7 as he needed to go and price a job for work. He's back home now working on his summer project in the coolness of his shed. I doubt i'll see much of him now before 10pm.:D Ive took him down his sunhat (being fair he burns easily) and ive given him a couple of paracetamol (he suffers with heatstroke easily too).

Youngest is miserable. All his mates have got girlfriends and dont want to come out to skate.

I'm itching to get my hands on the garden, however my plans will mean i'll get told off.

    Household duties done
    Men fed
Dinner prepared and ready to cook (lamb)

I'm just killing time at the moment.

Have a lovely sunny Sunday all,

dp1, I'm diagnosed with CFS/ME/Fibromyalgia - take your pick. Everyone with these diagnoses is different. Best thing as far I as understand is listen to the body. I know if I overdo it I'll suffer for it often for days. But sometimes it's worth it. Planning active and rest days works for me, and I struggle most with a change to my planned routine.

    Hi all

I'm having to skim-read to catch up - didn't get online yesterday as I had a truly awful day, after being badly upset on Friday.:(

Basically, the GP surgery have screwed up good and proper.

Now, a bit of background first: I have a major phobia of telephones, and if the landline rings, I go straight into a blind panic. As in shaking, feeling sick, can't function sort of panic. The surgery have been told, in writing, that if they want to call, they must call Mr LW's mobile, and he is authorised to speak for me.

OK, so on Wednesday I emailed for a repeat prescription, in the normal way; I need my regular month's supply of morphine.

Friday afternoon, the landline rang. I didn't answer it (I don't, ever, I'm too scared) but when I heard a message being left, it was the GP surgery wanting me.:( So I called Mr LW and got him to ring them to find out what they wanted.

Upshot - the Dr has refused to issue my script, saying I had some issued on May 3rd. I did not. I have the "repeat meds" bit of the prescription sheet, and the last one was printed on April 22nd, although under the morphine, it has, wrongly, the date May 3rd (impossible - it can't have been issued AFTER the script was printed unless they have a time machine). I've also checked on the actual tablet box, and I collected it from the pharmacy on April 26th.

    So their records are wrong.

So now I have the extremely scary prospect of going in there at 07:00 (when they open) Tuesday morning:( - Mr LW will take me before he goes to work - and telling them a) that they have incorrect drug information on my records (I shall show them the evidence because I don't suppose for one instant that they'll believe me):( and b) that once again I need them to ensure that Mr LW's mobile is the only phone number listed for me (this will be about the third time I'll have done this).

As you may imagine, I am not a happy bunny, as medical bods of any sort absolutely terrify me.:(

It's this sort of carp, and the awful levels of stress it causes me, that really makes me feel like throwing in the towel.:(
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon All
We have just got back from Collectormania in MK, had a fantastic time, everyone is so friendly there. We met loads of people like Christopher Judge (Stargate's Teal'c).....who is such a lovely man, Bernard Cribbins who made me lol, Julian Sands, Alfie Allen (Theo Gayjoy... Game of thrones... swoon) Luke Barnes (game of thrones) Gethin Anthony(Renly Baratheon...Game of thrones) Richard Franklin (Captain Yates Dr Who) and loads more. We are going back tomorrow as well to just see the stuff that we missed, we left early because it was getting busier and busier and as such too much for me on my scooter.

Got home to all the washing dry on the line so there is another lot that I put on before we left on the line with another load in the machine.

Dinner is spicy chicken with salad and new potatoes.

    BFN x

Molly, I hope things are ok.
BBird, hope you are enjoying the sunshine.
I have planted up my hanging baskets, all 14 of them, then watched the GP, it was an exciting race.
Meals today & for the rest of the week will include lots of sausages (left over from DD's party y'day) & lots of lettuce, we have at least 6 big lettuce ready to eat.

    Afternoon all,

I'm just in from the garden. Spent a lovely couple of hours planting my sweet corn and some bedding plants. Also ive planted up our hanging baskets and pots.
We've cut the grass and trimmed the edges. I love being in the garden when the sun shines. Lets hope it stays all week whilst the kids are on half term.
My DS completed the10k in 1hr 17. Mins. I'm very proud of her.

LW sorry your having a tough time. I hate the way they assume they are in the right and you are in the wrong. It's always a bank holiday as well, hope you get it sorted.

I'm just going to sit with my leg up now as its killing me, it was worth it though:D

    Hi everyone,
Sorry Iv been missing for a while...had a horrible time with my medication getting changed from morphine to oxycontin...lasted 10 days and very nearly ended up in hospital...im back on the morphine now and the pains easier to manage.
Lamewolf - doctors and morphine wreck my brain...iv had mine (oramorph) lowered without being told by doctors who have never seen me....my doctor now is brilliant and any mistakes he sorts which is quite often recently.
    How is everyone doing?
Hi summertime...my step MIL and MIL both have ME and its been disabling for them both. Im in chronic pain myself from issues from severe adhesions, nerve damage and bowel obstructions so you will have alot of support here.
OS wise here Im not doing much did a roast with the help from the OH.
Im struggling to walk even more...had surgery on my ankle after having a extra 6inch extra bone fused 10 years ago after being told there was nothing wrong for nearly 3 years..spent 2 years in plaster stabilizing it before they could operate. On friday i moved in bed and it cracked and locked and now is severely swollen...dad is a nurse and thinks its broke, leaving going to A&E until Tuesday can't be doing spending hours in A&E with all the drunks (don't mean to offend anyone)
So its a quiet night for me I hope everyone is well....Huge hugs to those that want/need them.
    Much love
    Rach xx
