Accident on third party policy

Options
I have just renewed my car insurance with Aviva. Their questions included 'Have you made a claim in the last 4 years' to which I replied no.
I had an accident driving my mother's car in the last 4 years, and she claimed on her insurance. I didn't claim on my policy though I notified my insurer at the time. My NCD remains intact.
My Aviva 'facts provided by you' document has come up showing 'Accidents in the last 4 years: 0'.

These are two very different statements. Do I need to worry my insurance is invalid, though the question I answered was answered truthfully? Do I need to call them to clarify? I'll be annoyed if I have to pay an amendment fee already because their wording is ambiguous.

No, the two questions were have you made any claims, and have you got any convictions (which I do, and did declare).

The question is clear as you say.

Interestingly the "help" for that question says:
    • You need to tell us about any motor related claim whether fault or non fault.
    • You don’t need to tell us about accidents where an insurance claim was not made and you paid for repairs yourself.
    • You don’t need to include claims made by other drivers in this section as these will be asked within the additional driver details section

Yes, hence I think I answered the question correctly but my supplementary information now says I have had no accidents in the past 4 years, when I have albeit not in my car on my policy.
Do you feel this is contradictory? Or as I had an accident but made no claim personally, the second bullet point covers it?
Thanks for taking the trouble to check their question.

    No.

    You have answered incorrectly.

You did have an accident, and there was a claim.

It is irrelevant which policy the claim for the accident was made on.

You need to correct this ASAP, as it gives them grounds to void your policy, and were a claim made to refuse to pay it (or if a third party makes a claim to pay them then come to you to reimburse them).
