My 2 kids ave persuaded me to take them to blackpool for a week ( they love blackpool and would rather go there than disney  )
We have been twice in as many years and tbh I'm getting a bit bored of the pleasure beach, sandcastle or farmer parrs .
So, I'm wondering in anyone can give me ideas for places near ish, I have a car so don't mind travelling up to an hour really.
Thanks

We're staying jst outside blackpool (poulton le flyde) my kids are 4 and 10.
Tbh they enjoy going anywhere really, but being from scotland I'm not great at jusdging how far things are from blackpool when I'm googling :embarasseIts all mind over matter. I don't mind and you don't matter:rotfl:0 -
Poulton is a lovely little village..
My kids love having a day here if the wether is nice, but be warned there is nothing Bout so you'd need a picnic, but the picnic table have an area where you can take a disposable BBQ which is a nice change.. They can have a paddle in the stream as you come off the car park, or walk further down and there's a swing etc

If its a rainy day there is a fab indoor play area in poultry called thingy majigs, the kids and adults can play for hours!

Lytham and st Anne's are nice for a quieter beach and promenade, they have things in st Anne's on the prom like a park and trampolines and a little train that goes round it all... Plus there is a steam train with a coffee shop on that's a bit different
Stanley park is fab, can spend a whole day there as there is so much to do like boat rides , mini golf, the model village etc.. It's opposite blackpool zoo and the de vere hotel, I'd say a 15 min drive from population, plus if you go on a Friday the de vere does a burger and pink wine night.. Burger and chips £3 and pink wine £2 a glass or £10 the bottle and you can sit outside over looking the golfers

The wild boar park is also about a half hour drive

We haven't been to this particular one but will be going this year as looks good fun

I'd also keep an eye on dealmoster.co.uk as they have some great offers around blackpool both on entertainment and food...
And don't forget an absolute must is a notrianis ice cream which is just by south pier, near the big McDonald's on the front, you can't come to blackpool and not have one lol
As you can tell we are very much out doorsey type people but if there's something your particularly interested in , let me know and I'll help if I can xx0 -

Would recommend the Sea Life Blackpool. I have taken my step-son and he really enjoyed it.0

would second the wild boar park, you also have old holly farm a bit further out with a cracking cafe and indoor play area.
one of our favourites (?) is Brockholes near Preston, cracking day and free except for parking.
near the zoo you also have stanley park with a great cafe and lots of activities. The futures bright the future is Ginger0 -
I agree with the Wild Boar Park, Stanley Park and Brockholes, during the holidays Brockholes usually have loads of family activities too. The beach in St Annes is huge, lots of room for games, kites and lounging.0
