mortgage lender want named on buildings insurance policy!

    I have seen lenders request being named as joint holder. Its a bit old fashioned now and I suspect rare nowadays but it used to be commonplace.

    I work for an insurance company and its not compulsory by all mortgage providers, however, some do insist on their interest been noted on the policy.

    This is what I knew happened but this is not the same as being a joint policyholder.
