hiya all

checked out relevant stuff on the site and got some quotes but wanting to check if we have to take out abroad travel as only need on one car anyone offer this or is it just standard?

cos my first speeding getting 3 points on my license first offense included that in my quotes too

is there a site anyone knows i can just enter what i want on the policy and dont want, ie dont want eu travel and breakdown cover but would like it protected and unsure of courtesy car but would like legal cover,,

like a adhoc type insurance request what you do want and try and get it as cheap as can for the things we do want,,

any ideas cheers thanks maz x have a sunny day

You get what you pay for! Go and speak to a good local motor broker who can properly search the market to find what you are looking for. We have a total of four vehicles including two high, group vehicles and because we use a good broker, we have managed to secure a really good deal, which allows DH and I plus DD (20) who has her own car insured in her own name to drive, all of them. Total cost for four, three on protected plus one on commercial is c£1000 per annum.

People always want everything at the cheapest price, but for us the breadth of coveris the most important.

Most companies will include cover to travel abroad, though it's usually just "legal" (third party only) cover, and pretty worthless - if you wanted to drive abroad and have your own car covered, you'd take and pay for comprehensive cover at the time of the trip.

Look at it as a complimentary "extra" they include, and don't worry about trying to exclude it.

Legal cover is usually an extra offered by most companies, as is anything other than a courtesy car included for use when your car is being repaired at the insurers choice of repairer.
