putting washing machine in downstairs loo?

I have quite a small kitchen with no dishwasher currently and i would love to find room for one if possible! I do have a long thin downstairs toilet with a sink at the other end.
Would it be a realistic option to have a washing machine put where the sink is currently placed in the downstairs loo? and therefore keep a downstairs loo and a washing machine. I havent rung anyone for a quote yet just incase i'm my plan is impossible to be done and I will be laughed at. The next stage would be to remove the washing machine in the kitchen and have a diashwasher plumed in its place.
Is my plan a realistic one that can actually be done? if anyone can offer advise on this and how much it would cost I would be very grateful, as if it would cost thousands to do it would make it not worth doing!

Yes it's easy enough. Do you need the sink removed to fit the washing machine?
If not then all you really need is a water supply. Obviously there is one there so all you need is for a splice to be made giving you a washing machine hose outlet with it's own cutoff (preferably). You could drain the WM straight into the sink or branch the existing waste and use that.
That should be about an hours work and £15 of materials tops.
If you need to remove the existing sink it's not much harder but will take a little extra time so maybe 2 hours work rather than one.
I'm assuming you won't want any plastering etc done after removing the sink.0 -
it is easy to do,the only thing you need to fully consider is moving the machine in to place and having a nearby electrical plug.
We did infact plan to do exactly this in our renovation house as space was very tight and there was plenty of room on theory in the downstairs loo...although we had to abandonm the idea as there was not enough clearance for the top of the washing machine and the bottom of the bolierfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

as the space is quite slim i was thinking of having the sink removed and a washing machine put in its place, their wouldnt be enough room for both. So it could be done quite easily then? and wouldnt cost to much?0

Their is a cupboard next to the toilet that has the hoover and things inside, their is a plug in the little cupboard so I was thinking that it should be quite easy to use that one.0

You're going to have a toilet with no sink?0

The kitchen sink is only ten steps away, afew of my friends have put a toilet in a small downstairs cupboard and use the kitchen sink, it never occured to me this would be a problem?0

Not very hygenic, is it?
There are lots of tiny basins you can get that will fit into odd spaces, as well as the above combination of loo and basin.
Apart from this it sounds like a really good idea.0 -
I might get afew quotes then to have this done, as it seems to be a realistic and not to expensive thing to do. Apart from potentially buying a washing machine and dishwasher! as my washing machine is built into my kitchen units and currently sounds like a tank when its on so I think its on its last legs, it is nearly ten years old though.
Will it be easy to plumb a dishwasher into where my washing machine is?0
