Subsidence in solicitors environmental search

Hi all,

I'm in the process of buying a home. Just received my solicitors search results which is basically all clear apart from low risk of subsidence.

The exact wording on the report is:
What is the potential for Natural Ground Subsidence within the search area: LOW
The study site is located in an area where some properties may be affected by Natural Ground Subsidence.

They gave it an overall pass certificate. The house is 3 yrs old still under NHBC. Do you think the above is worth spending out on a full survey?

    Unless a property is built on solid rock. Then there is always a risk from subsistence. If not now but in 50 years time.

    I have a question on this to, but more relating to insurance. Our ground stability report came up with high risk of natural instability within 50m of the property which could lead to subsidence. A lot of insurers ask whether there are any known subsidence issues or occurences in the surrounding 250m area. We don't know of any, except our report suggests that there is high instability in the ground which could mean subsidence is more likely. Is this a problem? Or is it only a problem if the property itself has had issues (our homebuyers survey didn't reveal any problems). Just don't want to end up finding out that our buildings insurance isn't valid if a problem occurs!
