I applied for a Barclays Current account a few weeks back and received my Cheque book and card, does this mean I must have a good credit score ?.
Also if I now use that account on a regular basis (Paying in approx £2k per month) and have Direct Debits etc will that mean I will be offered more from Barclays in the future such as overdrafts etc.
Many Thanks

It means you have a credit score suitable for a Barclays Current Account, other creditors may well score you differently and may or may not accept you for their products.
Keep the account in credit and make payments from and to the account and they may offer you other products, such as overdrafts, loans and credit cards.0 -
I've had an account with Lloyds for over five years and the account has mainly been in credit. At one point I used an overdraft to buy a used car and there was a couple of months after where my wages going in didn't take my account back into credit, but other than that I've mainly only had a small overdraft (30-50% of my wages) and the account has gone back into the green every month. They still won't give me a credit card.
Barclays may be different, I'm just saying that giving you a current account isn't an indication they'll give you anything else. What will your verse be?
