Another reduction today by another £37 for the 4 weeks

The reduction would be due to your tenants income and tax credits. He should be paying you this from his own income...is he not?

I have understood from your previous posts how it works - however I am saying that there has been a reduction on the previous reduction

If the tenant is working the same hours and getting a set rate for CTC I assumed that HB would remain constant after the initial reduction

If the tenant had recently completed their tax credit renewal and their payments went up then their housing benefit will be adjusted accordingly.

Perhaps it's worth calling the local authority to ask why the payment is lower than expected?

I have now spoken more in depth to the tenant it seems he is Self Employed working 24 hours - not PAYE 16 hours and is on a low income but his earnings remain constant

I am going to call HB and try to get to the bottom of this

I'm guessing that the £26.24 that is missing is the DHP as it only lasts 26 weeks in my local authority so maybe it has ended and your tenant is back down to their 'basic' HB.

Tenant was paid £127 DHP in one lump sum 12 months ago - I am looking at LHA rates and none of this ties up

Is basic HB rate different from LHA rates?
