PPI claim Black Horse

I was contacted by a company about a Black Horse loan I had, I told them that I didn't. I got in touch with Black Horse who have replied say they don't have any details & they only go back 6yrs.
I can remember having finance for a car, could someone suggest what I should do next.

Well no point pursuing Blackhorse unless you can find relevant documentation in your own archive.

As for car finance, you'd have to complain to the car dealer (again if you can find evidence that you had PPI) but be aware that if any PPI was sold to you prior to January 2005 the dealer won't have to consider your complaint as they weren't regulated before that date.

We have just had a PPI claim payout from Black Horse - was most certainly more than 6 years ago that we had the loan - we also had no details apart from the loan account number (taken from our bank statements).

I contacted them simply asking for details of any PPIs on loan and they immediately sent out the forms to register our complaint - once received they phoned to verify a few details and agreed our claim - all within the 8 weeks.

Personally I wouldnt give up - do you have any details at all? Checking your credit file for account numbers is also possible.

    Good luck.
