Not sure how this whole meternity thing works......
Well my missus has been working for 4 years as a casual worker for Sainsbury as she been a student. Her contract suggested she worked there fore 6 weeks a week, but in reality she did about 20- 24 hours a week on average.
Now she has a new job which she works full time as a receptionist during the week days. but still working in sainsburys in the weekend.
We are thinking of having a child. So she doesnt know wheather to quit working for sainsberys at this stage, cus maybe it will affect her maternity Pay? etc
How does maternity pay work? Will she be entitled to recieve from sainsburys (if she stays on working for them, if it's still worth it)? or her new job if shes pregnant in a month or 2? Or would she just get states benefits? and how much on average are we looking at? secondly how does holidays etc work/ maternity leave ? would she be entitled for it at her new job?

I would suggest having a read of this in the first place....

Each employment would look at maternity pay separately so your wife might qualify for mat pay from both employers.0
