Hi Everyone,,
I'm new to this forum,,but wanted any advice anyone can give me,,my hubby and I bank with the Yorkshire Bank,,and have done so for over 20years,,recently, we tried to claim PPI for loans that we had over 7 yrs ago,,our local branch said they could not deal with it,,and that we should approach head office,in doing so,,their reply was, they did not go beyond 7yrs,,although we had loan agreement numbers, they still said they needed the paperwork,,( who keeps that after 7yrs of paying up the loan?? ),After failing this attempt,,we went to one of those companys that deal with PPI,,told them of our situation,,,they said they could get all info from our bank via ' Subject Access Request ',,with this still being done,,Yorkshire Bank said there was NO PPI when the SAR was taken out,,,PPI was definately attached when we took out loans over 7yrs ago,,the only one that does not have PPI attached, is the loan we have running at the moment,,Could anyone tell me our next step,,YB are being very unfair I think,,
Thanks for any Advice

It sounds as if you are wasting your time with this.
If a SAR has revealed no PPI and you have no supporting documentation of your own then your complaint is dead before it begins.
I don't know why you thought employing a Claims Management Company would somehow change what the Bank said originally.
Banks typically keep records on settled accounts for about six years, but a SAR would ensure any details which had been kept were released to you.0
