Three Rate Electricity Meter

Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me with my small business electricity meter - its a three rate meter billing 'day', 'night' & 'evening/weekend' rates. I was wondering if anybody knew the appropriate times that these rates are effective for? Weekend is fairly self explanatory, but I cant seem to work out the cut-off between 'evening' & 'night'?
I am supplied by British Gas and in the Suffolk area if these things make a difference?
If anyone has any experience in these things I would be most grateful!
Thanks in advance.........

Thats a good question monkeymorgs, I hope we get an answer, I ve been reading these things for years and have no idea. they just get imput in the order of 1,2,3 ( plus T for total ) on my computer . I have a strong feeling that the suppliers have no idea neither . they routinely mess up the much simpler domestic eco 7 two rate meters, which I fully understand. My advice to pubs and businesses with these meters is to observe each rates switch over times themselves,a lot of the meters default to show the rate in progress,or see which rates advance at different periods of the weekThen you can double check the suppliers efforts. I have seen these meters where they can all vary, rate 2 is showing for weekend mostly, but a property next door it may be rate 1 or 3. The timers controlling these switchover times need to be checked also.Dont trust the suppliers to know for sure.do your own investigation and check if they ve got it right0

Is this not explained in the business tariff agreement you agreed with BG?
Have you tried contacting BG Business to ask them?0 -
Your supplier should be able to tell you. They should have on your Standard Settlement Configuration (SSC) to which are allocated Time Pattern Regimes (TPRs) and each TPR has a start and end time/day.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Would it be possible to look at the meters at different times of the day, and see which meter is counting upwards when you have something running? Only one of the numbers should change at any one time.
I think there is some variation in when these times can be, so that would be the definitive way of finding out when the hours are for you.
