Natwest credit card charges

I am close (ish) to paying off my Natwest credit card and recently have been researching claiming back credit card charges.
I have found three, over the last year, two £12 over limit fees and 1 £12 late payment fee. I am a bit confused as to whether or not I can claim them back, or, whether my claim is realistic.
On the credit card charges guide, I understand that from June 2006, MSE suggest to claim the whole £12 charge back. Later on in the guide, it mentions that some people may be offered the difference between what they were charged, and £12, which makes me believe that I may not be able to claim my charges back, as they were only £12
Am I likely to be successful in claiming back these £12 charges? From research, I get the impression that I may not be, because this is the OFT recommended amount, but then, the MSE guide suggests asking for the full amount.
I am sorry if I am being stupid, but I'm confused about this
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

If you believe them to be unfair, then go ahead and reclaim.
Be prepared though, that you may need to go to court. Whilst charges over £12 would be deemed automatically unfair by the OFT (assuming evidence to the contrary was not given), it would be left to you to convince a judge the charges were unfair if the card provider elected to not accept your claim.
The FOS will not help you. It is not their role to decide on legal matters; that is what the courts do. The FOS simply follow the stance of the OFT, so only help out where charges are in excess of £12 (and no evidence exists to satisfy them they are fair)0
