  • If you can afford a gardener surely you could afford to up your insurance to include accidental damage? Priorities?

  • I accidentally smashed a large double glazed window on my patio door (it was around 2.5ft by 6ft) and it cost less than £60 to have one made to replace. Phone around double glazing places and get a price. Perhaps the chap might go halves with you if you explain reasonably... not to say you havent already been, but you catch more flies with honey than vinegar as they say.

    Its quite likely he didnt know anything about it, i was strimming at the bottom my garden last year (about 50' from house) and didnt know it flicked a stone through a window till i went to make a cup of tea
